I appreciate art and design because I believe it is the study and observation of life. My creative process is similar to the scientific process in that there is a hypothesis, testing, assessing and sometimes, a theory arises. The only difference is that there are no rules with art. We can test whatever we want, we can find out what works and what doesn’t across all areas of our life. Over time, we begin to see the truth of life and how we interact with each other in this world.

I think good art inspires growth, whether through the creation of the art or through the message that the art conveys. A good artist can convey a variety of complex messages with one small piece if done with care and consideration.
This is why I love art and the creative process - we get to see that with care and consideration, we can learn to better understand and communicate with one another and we can envoke feelings in people that are hard to describe in other ways.
